A conference jointly sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Salomon Center at New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. This year’s conference is also cosponsored by the Society for Financial Studies, publisher of the Review of Financial Studies (RFS).
OVERVIEW:
This two-day conference aims to enhance the interaction among researchers interested in financial intermediation. Submissions in all areas of financial intermediation will be considered.
SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:
The deadline for submissions is July 30, 2010. Interested authors should submit a PDF version of their paper with a separate title/abstract page to:
nyfed_nyustern.conference@ny.frb.org Please specify "NY Fed/NYU Conference" in the subject line.
Authors of accepted papers will be notified in early September. The conference organizers will provide accommodation as well as financial support for travel expenses to authors whose papers are accepted for the conference.
NY FED/NYU STERN CONFERENCE & RFS PARTNERSHIP:
The NY Fed/NYU Stern Conference and the Society for Financial Studies announce a combined submission process. If you choose to, your submission to the conference will also be considered for publication by the RFS.
Conference Dual Submission Option
- You must indicate in the cover letter accompanying your submission that you are interested in consideration by the RFS under the dual review program. There is no charge for submissions under this program.
- Dual submissions will be reviewed by the conference program committee and will be made available for consideration by the RFS.
- Papers submitted for dual consideration must not be under review at another journal or the RFS, nor can they be considered for dual submission if previously rejected by the RFS.
- At the discretion of the RFS, dual submissions will be sent out for a formal referee report. If such a report is sought, then the paper’s author will receive a copy of the RFS reviewer’s report.
- Papers rejected at any stage of the dual review process are not considered to have been "rejected" at the RFS. This also applies to articles sent out for formal review. Thus authors are permitted to submit a future version of their paper (unchanged if they wish) to the RFS without prejudice.
- While under consideration by the conference and the RFS, a paper may not be submitted to another journal (or the RFS) until the author has been notified.

The conference is open to academics and other researchers in the fields of economics and finance. It is closed to the media.
